WestOz Trades vs Perth City Air: which one for AC repair and servicing?
Both of these outfits turn up on the shortlist for AC repair and servicing in Perth, and both back it up with strong review records. The difference comes down to how much track record you want backing the job versus how comfortable a contractor is with tricky, non-standard repairs. Our methodology weighs both, but for this specific job the split below matters more than the headline score.
The differences that matter

What reviewers say
WestOz Trades
Five-star reviews across 1000+ respondents describe a team that shows up on time, explains what they're doing, and leaves properties clean. Connor, Aaron, Ben, Darren, Josh, and others are named repeatedly for professionalism and respect, whether installing new units, servicing existing systems, or handling emergency repairs.
Installation jobs and seasonal maintenance draw the strongest praise. Technicians send text updates en route, give homeowners full walkthroughs of new equipment, patch old mount holes, and haul away rubbish. One hydro clean was described as restoring a unit to "like new" condition. Apartment installs and commercial multi-site jobs both feature heavily in recent feedback.
Perth City Air
Reviewers consistently report smooth, well-managed projects from quote to completion. Teams demonstrate expertise on challenging installations, stay responsive throughout, and leave properties clean and tidy.
Individual staff like James and Chris are named repeatedly for attentive communication and technical skill. Aftercare calls are answered promptly. The single mention of difficulty was app setup, which the business ultimately resolved. Pricing is described as competitive or worth the investment for quality, though no exact figures were quoted by reviewers.
Which should you pick?
Pick WestOz Trades if
- You want a contractor with a very large, consistent five-star track record for standard repair and servicing calls
- You value on-the-spot diagnostics and efficiency tips explained clearly during the visit
- You've had good experiences with named techs like Connor, Josh, or Ben and want continuity
Pick Perth City Air if
- Your system sits in a tight roof cavity, an older house, or is part of a multi-unit setup that other contractors have declined
- You want transparent, itemised quoting before work starts
- You want routine follow-up calls and system optimisation checks built into the service, not just a one-off visit
Verdict
Pick based on how standard your system and property are. For a routine repair or service call on a typical setup, WestOz Trades' sheer volume of repeat five-star reviews makes it a safe, well-tested choice. If your job involves a difficult roof cavity, an older property, or a multi-unit system that's already been turned down elsewhere, Perth City Air's specific experience with complex installs and its higher-confidence verification make it the better fit, even though its review count is smaller.
